Meet the maker
DGS Pet Products, which started as Dog Gone Smart, was founded in 2006 in Norwalk, Connecticut, by Chris Onthank, an animal behaviorist, to take the everyday mess and stress out of living with a dog.
It makes its beds in fabrics with a job to do: Repelz-It®, a finish that makes chenille and cotton canvas resist water, dirt and odor; Dirty Dog microfiber, the plush, thirsty fabric of its doormats; Chill Kuzzi plush with a bio-mineral finish; and Itchy Witchy, with essential oils sealed in its fibers.
